Hi there! I'm a financial planner for therapists!

Breaking through your limits!

Published over 1 year ago • 1 min read

Hey Reader!

I’m just back from the annual Financial Therapy Association’s annual conference. And yes, if you don’t know about it, that’s a thing! I learned and experienced some really amazing things, including IFS-informed financial therapy.

If that piques your curiosity, stay tuned!I have lots to share with you in the coming weeks!

Today, I wanted to share two different things that you might find helpful.

The Private Practice Startup

I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Kate and Katie on their podcast, The Private Practice Startup. We had a wide ranging conversation on all things finance and running your practice - including how your personal finances show up in your professional practice. And yes, the importance of cultivating an ongoing practice of engaging with your money & finances (because I talk about that all the time and have seen how essential that is!)

Break through your Limits!

Do you want to feel grounded, focused, driven and creative going into 2023?

Yes, 2023! Believe it or not, it’s right around the corner!

I’m super excited to be partnering with my friend Ernesto Segismundo to bring you an exciting (and free) webinar series.

I’ll be one of the guests, and there are a TON of other inspirational speakers Ernesto has lined up.

These webinars will give you the entrepreneurial tools you need to move through insecurities and toward who you strive to be - both professionally and personally.

We’ll cover money narratives and finances, credit card hacking, navigating limiting beliefs, entrepreneurship, leadership and brand messaging!

WHEW! That’s a lot.

Never fear, Ernesto does an amazing job of keeping it all energizing and inspiring!

That’s all I have for you this week!

As always, if you have any questions about what I've covered today — or anything else happening in your financial life — HIT REPLY and ask away! I read and respond to every email.

Best,

Dave

PS: Want to learn about limiting money beliefs and how to make work optional? Check out the recording of the webinar Ernesto and I did last November! Ernesto brings a whole new level of energy and excitement to this topic!

But don't let my love of the tax code and spreadsheets scare you off! You're just as likely to find me with my nose buried in one of Pema Chodron's books as reading up on the latest financial planning techniques.

Hello Reader, It wasn’t just a good day, it was a GREAT day. I was clear-headed, sharp, uber-productive. I was flying through my to-do list, and doing (IMHO) my best work, when I made a quick pivot to dispatch some emails. One email was from HR, announcing a change to the vacation policy. What? That’s interesting. Without hesitation, I click on the attached PDF to see if it was good news or bad. And just like that… I had been phished. I knew that clicking on a suspicious attachment could...
